WITH ALL NAMES AND THEIR PICKS
[School
logos] UK is a team with a very good defense. They are so intimidating.
Will they be the champions? I hope so. Missouri is a good team this
year. WOW! Will they win the championship for the last time as a Big 12
team before they transfer to SEC? Syracuse is a good team this year.
Will they be the champions? It could happen. Murray State, a school in
Kentucky, has not lost a game so far as of January 26th. Will
they enter the NCAA tournament and prove themselves to big schools by
going all the way and win the championship? Who knows? Butler has not
been really doing great so far. Will they luckily win their conference
championship then go all the way to the championship game in the NCAA
tournament for the third year in a row? It is possible. North Carolina
and Duke are well-known for winning games in the NCAA tournaments. Will
they still win games and go far in the NCAA tournament this year? It
could happen. Who will win the championship? You predict. You make the
prediction with us. [YOU MAKE YOUR PREDICTION FOR A CHANCE TO WIN!] [2nd
Annual NCAA Tournament Pick’em hosted by KDDGA] If
you are seeing this video on either Facebook or YouTube, it is best for
you to go to the website, www.kddga.org/NCAA.html, and it has the
same video as the one you are seeing right now. The website has
information in text below the video.
This
game is called NCAA Tournament Pick’em, and Kentucky Deaf Disc Golf
Association is hosting this game for second year. How is this game
played? After you watch NCAA tournament teams selection announced by
NCAA Tournament committee on Sunday, March 11th, print out a
copy of brackets from a website such as ESPN, CBS Sports, or USA Today.
Fill out your picks of the team that you think will win in each game in
the brackets. There will be 68 teams entering the NCAA tournament this
year, so there will be four games in the first round. You circle a team
you think will win in each first round game. You then write down teams
you think will win in the 2nd round, 3rd round,
and all of the games throughout the championship game. After you finish
with filling out your brackets, send your prediction to KDDGA. KDDGA
will collect predictions, then feed names with predictions to KDDGA’s
NCAA Tournament Pick’em website. You can view the website and see the
predictions made by other people then everybody can compare their
predictions with other people’s predictions and talk about them. In
the points system, each correct pick in the first round is worth one
point, each correct pick in the second round is worth two points, each
correct pick in the third round is worth three points, each correct pick
in the Sweet 16 is worth four points, each correct pick in the Elite
Eight is worth five points, each correct pick in the Final Four is worth
six points, and the correct pick in the championship game is worth seven
points. The first place winner with the highest total of points will
receive a large sum of money from the prize money pool. The
prize money pool comes from the money that KDDGA earns from people for
their NCAA Tournament Pick’em entry fees. The first place, second
place, third place, and fourth place winners will receive money as a
prize. The first place winner will receive 50% from the prize money
pool. The second place winner will receive 25% from the prize money
pool. The third place winner will receive 15% from the prize money pool.
The fourth place winner will receive 10% from the prize money pool. If
100 entries are collected, the first place winner would receive $750
while the second place winner would receive $375, the third place winner
would receive $225, and the fourth place winner would receive $150.
KDDGA will send a check with an amount of the prize money to each
winner. In case of a tie, for example, there are two players tied for
first place then we will add the first and second places’ percentages
which are 50% and 25% from the prize money pot. As a result of that, 75%
of the prize money fund will be divided by the two players that were
tied at the top. Another example is if two players are tied for second
place, then we will add the second and third places’ percentages which
are 25% and 15% from the prize money pool. After that, 40% of the prize
money pool will be divided by the two players that are tied for second
place. Another example is if three players are tied for fourth place,
then 10% for the fourth place from the prize money pool will be divided
by the three players that are tied for fourth place. There
is a sample of last year’s KDDGA NCAA Tournament Pick’em website
where we fed names, teams, and their points that I will show you. Here
it is. [A sample of last year’s website with names, teams, and points]
You see that sample. It
costs $20 to play this game. If you desire to have more chances to win
this game by sending us more tournament predictions. Sure! You may send
us two tournament predictions. Two tournament predictions are the
maximum, and they will cost $40. Five dollars out of $20 will go to
KDDGA for fundraising efforts such as following NCAA games, counting
points, and updating the website. Fifteen dollars out of $20 will go to
the prize money pool. If
KDDGA collects 100 entries, like I just mentioned then the first place
winner will receive $750. If KDDGA receives more than 100 entries, prize
money amounts for each winner will increase. You
have four options of how to send in your picks. The first option is to
scan your completed brackets and send them in an email attachment to
KDDGA. It is better to scan them into .jpg or .jpeg file formats. The
second option is to mail your completed brackets to KDDGA. The third
option is to type all of your picks from the first round throughout the
championship game in an email separating your picks by the rounds then
send it to NCAApickem@AOL.com. The
fourth option is if you see Billy Gulley, Jr. and me regularly, you may
give your completed brackets to us in person. Importantly, the deadline
for submitting your brackets via email and to us in person is Monday,
March 12th at 11:59 pm. If you mail in your brackets, your
letter has to be postmarked on Monday, March 12th so it will
verify that you mail your brackets by the deadline. If you submit your
brackets after the deadline, it is too late. You
can go ahead and mail money for your tournament prediction entry fee to
KDDGA now. You need to include your email address with money when you
mail your entry fee to KDDGA. [send cash or check/money order to KDDGA (KDDGA
address on website)] We will collect money and email addresses then set
up the website with names. We will contact you by email to remind you to
submit in your brackets. Who
can play this game? Deafies in Deaf community and anyone who is involved
in the Deaf community may play in this game. Old, young, male, female,
UFO, and ANYONE may play in this game! People from other states are

is cool about this game is that we are a part of the Deaf community, and
people’s names on the website may be recognized and players may meet
each other through a network of friends or through this game. Also, if
you have any questions to ask, any complaints to make, or concerns, you
may contact me then we can talk or you ask me questions on videophone. Come
and get involved with this game and enjoy good times, and at the same
time you support this organization! Please tell your friends in the Deaf
community about this game and join this game!
